day10
On my way back to school. The longest and most boring drive ever!!! It went by quickly, but it was and still is hard to get back into school mode. And now that it is getting nice out, it definitely is getting harder to do school stuff. But all in all, I enjoyed my spring break. It was fun, relaxing and nice.
day9
Back in good old Mishawaka, where I grew up. It was nice to be back because I got a haircut, saw my grandparents and brother, hung out with old friends from high school, and celebrated St. Patty's Day with some new friends. And I also got to see a boy who I've kinda had a thing for... So I also got to hang out with him on St. Patty's Day. It just sucked knowing that spring break 2007 was coming to an end.
day8
Friday was the day we left. It was sad to leave my mom and dad again. It sucks knowing that I can't just drive 3 hours to see them like before. Our flight was delayed because of the storms on the east coast. Not a big deal, but we almost did not make the connecting flight. We had to run to the gate! Luckily they held the plane for us, but when we landed in Indy, our luggage did not transfer. No big deal, but I was heading up to South Bend for the weekend, but good thing I packed clothes for home in my carry on!
day7
Thursday we hung out at MGM's pool all day until the IU game. We watched the game with a group of IU grads that were playing blackjack with my sister's boyfriend. What a small world! It was fun to be around fellow IU grads and students in LV, especially since it was such a huge game.
day6
Wednesday was the day that we stayed on the strip. We stayed at New York New York for the night. The pool was closed but had chairs to lay on, but we just wanted to be at a pool where we could get in it if need be. So, keep in mind that New York New York and MGM are owned by the same families; therefore you can use their pool as long as you show your room key. At night we went out to the bars and clubs and did some dancing and drinking; two of our favorite things.
day5
Tuesday was very much like Monday. Took the dog for a walk and then layed out. We went to dinner that night at a Mexican resturant that was close to the strip. Later that night when we were back down on the strip, we met up with some friends of Cindy's and Kate's. It was fun to hang out with a group of college kids from different colleges.
day4
Since my mom and dad had to go back to work, us girls were on our own. We hung out during the day at the house, took the dog for a walk and layed out in the backyard. The weather was so nice! I guess Nevada had its record high for this session while we were there, so we totally lucked out. Later that night we drove down to the strip to do a little shopping and drinking.
day3
Finally a day to relax! My dad my us breakfast and then we went on a walk in the mountains. After the walk we just relaxed in the backyard and layed out. It was a perfect Sunday to lounge around and hang out with my mom and dad.
day2
We ended up going to Nascar on Saturday at the new Nevada Motor Speedway. Long story as to how we got tickets, but it cured me of ever wanting to go to a race. It was long, boring, loud and hot. The only good thing was we were in the sun all afternoon, but with Nascar fans, not what we had in mind.
Spring breaks started with a great trip to Indy to pick up my sister. My roomate Cindy came and a girl who lives across the hall, Kate came. We checked in at the Indy airport and found the nearest bar. Gotta start spring break 2007 off right! The flight was horrible! I will never again have connecting flights.. well if I can help it. I just wanted to get there but we back-tracked; went to Atlanta from Indy... It was just too long, but soon enough I got to see my mom and dad and our dog Books!!
